- Fairy tale motifs, biblical (as in Old Testament) motifs, mythological motifs in general
- Characters bonding over domestic things (especially cooking/baking/grocery shopping/other things to do with food), characters arguing over domestic things, characters making up with each other with domestic things. People doing each other’s laundry as a sign of affection, people making food for each other as a sign of affection, or to show their annoyance, but they love them anyway.
- Transformation, especially wings/extra arms. Preferably with some horror, but not too much of the “snapping of bones” variety. “My body isn’t mine anymore/my body has changed” but not the visceral gooey bits of it, more the existential threat.
- Themes of things repeating, traditions, “we’ve done this before, but let’s try it again anyway, to see what works.”
- Casual genderfuckery - guys in skirts and girls in suits, and nobody cares, apart from possibly finding that particular person hot. No deep rumination on gender, just comfort in playing with it.
- People saying the wrong thing, then trying to fix it, and all parties not being perfect, but more or less muddling through. Characters reconciling after a long time apart.
- Little moments captured at certain times of day - late night cups of tea at the dinner table, watching the sunset while walking down the street, the quiet moment in a kitchen while a party is going on outside.
- Skin hungry characters finally being “fed” with platonic, romantic, or sexual touch.
Long, meandering, organic conversations that go on tangents.
- Characters who are bad at being emotionally sincere trying very hard to do so.
- People at the beach - warm sand, the sun beating down, the quiet when it gets late, ice cream and sandwiches while sitting under a beach umbrella.
- Inclement weather. Snow, rain, thunderstorms. Characters getting caught up in it, characters taking shelter from it, characters getting ready to go out in it. I love the way the weather can set the scene.
- Isolation, real or imagined. The way an apartment late at night can feel like an island of light in the middle of a vast ocean, or being on an actual small boat on a vast ocean. Isolated cabins in the mountains, beach houses late at night, empty streets at the very end of the day. That sweet desolation you feel, looking over an empty space and it’s just you and the one you love.
- Places with personality. Old houses with a lot of rooms, towns that have history, forests that love you and also kind of want to eat you, the ocean that will tell you its secrets as it swallows you up.
- Pining that’s trying to be subtle but isn’t. People in denial about their own feelings, then giving in to them in private. People being embarrassed and happy and sad and complicated at being in love, platonically or romantically or in ways that even they aren’t sure about.
Smut Likes:
- Face touching/holding, hand touching/holding. Sucking on fingers, shoving fingers into mouths, palms against cheeks, tracing someone’s profile with the tip of a finger, thumbs pressed into dimples.
- Focus on mouths - cunnilingus, sucking dick, sucking on toes, leaving hickeys. Biting, especially in unexpected places (faces, calves). Long, deep kisses, the kind of making out that leaves the head spinning.

-I really, really love characters with good intentions doing bad things for the “right” reasons. “I’m hurting you because I love you and it’ll help you”, “I’m taking away your privileges because I want you to be safe,” “we both know you’ll be happier if I make this decision,” that kind of thing. Never out of malice, never out of anger, but out of a genuine belief that they’re doing the right thing. This can tie into ABDL stuff, where someone is babied because they can’t be trusted to take care of themselves, There’s a lot of “this is for your own good, sweetheart” condescension.
- Anal. I just really, really love anal. A lot.
- Older women in authority taking advantage of younger women under their authority.

I really, really love the idea of Sabrina’s aunts ‘taking care of her” - she has to stay a virgin, after all, for her dark baptism. So maybe they sometimes help her out, without actually breaking the rules. Maybe Hilda helping “take care of her” (since she always treats Sabrina like she’s a little kid to begin with, I remember her playing Little Piggies the night before Sabrina’s Dark Baptism. Maybe something where she shows her niece how to get off, or maybe some guilty feelings about other things she wants. Or maybe that’s normal in witch families, & she & Zelda just… do it. I really also loved that bit in the second season where Ambrose & Sabrina have a shouting match & then “go to bed, Hilda” “no, Miss, you go to bed” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lo8eYDneJ3A). Zelda instructing & helping Sabrina, maybe involving her in dark rituals that end in Sabrina losing her virginity, or being killed & resurrected, or eating something. Sabrina being loved & cared for by her aunts, in ways that may not necessarily be healthy, but is anyone in that family healthy?
Also spanking. Sabrina getting spanked, because her aunts are old fashioned. Especially after she's gotten too big for her britches, later in the show.
I cannot find a clip of it, but in the episode immediately following the Feast of Feasts, right before Sabrina gets the news about the mine collapse, there is a whole scene with Ambrose. She & Ambrose are sitting in their living room (with its Suspira ceiling), & Sabrina has her feet on the floor, doing her homework. Ambrose comes to sit on the couch with her, and then he picks her feet up & pulls them into his lap, beginning to rub her legs. I’ll be blunt, that moment alone was what made me start shipping them. They have such a big brother/little sister dynamic, where he spoils her & helps her (remember how she did the spider spell on the principal with her?). I’d love some more exploration of that!
The Weird Sisters are such a complicated, codependent mess and I love them so much. I’d love some fic exploring how they got like that - did they all meet at once, were they raised together as babies, or did they acquire each other? I’d also love to see something with them sharing someone, since they canonically do that (poor Nick). I’d love to see them working as a unit to seduce someone, while they’re all involved with each other as well.

Amy/River is the horrible incest ship of my heart and I eat it up with a spoon. Anything with these two, preferably a little angsty. Maybe River knows and seduces Amy anyway, maybe Amy is in love with River even after she finds out, maybe there’s just kissing and neither of them know, I don’t care. But I love smut and sadness with these two. Especially if you can play up the fact that River comes off as super worldly and Amy as slightly fragile. I’d love something involving the two of them meeting in reverse order, the way the Doctor meets River as well - Amy meets River at her most put together, River meets Amy when her mother is a grown, confident woman, & the two of them have a whole messy, complicated affair.

I would absolutely love to see something exploring the way Klaus & Vanya are both the family outcasts. (This letter was written prior to seeing Season 2, for a heads up). Maybe them bonding over being queer together, or being kind of numb to their own powers for a long time. Maybe Klaus is jealous of Vanya for being normal, and Vanya is jealous of Klaus for getting to be a part of the family in the first place.
Vanya/Allison is such a complicated, messy ship. The two of them love each other, but at the same time are just so bad at relating to other people, and especially to each other. Vanya is a big ball of resentment and loneliness and rage learning how to manage her powers, Allison thinks she knows better than everyone else and manages to stay the wrong thing. The two of them clashing into each other and working out (or not). I’d love to see any of it explored, honestly. Maybe Allison tries to teach Vanya to be more feminine & Vanya is resistant (I love her as an awkward sulky shlubby butch), maybe Allison tries to get on Vanya’s level.
Allison and Diego are such snarky, obnoxious siblings to each other. "Good luck with your next movie, hope it turns out better than your marriage," and then the trailer where she rumors him into punching himself in the face... Honestly? Perfection. I'd love to see the two of them just antagonizing each other some more, and also helping each other, like they did while they were fighting Cha Cha.
